Intro to Contemporary Speculative Fiction

Speculative Fiction pushes the bounds of the genre by providing tools that allow writers to share heavier themes without being heavy-handed and explicit. This course is focused on the exploration of the speculative fiction written within the last ten years by writers like N.K Jemisin, Suyi Davies Okungbowa and P. Djeli Clark. Students will be given the tools to add speculative elements into their own fiction writing such as world building, character voice, setting and magic systems.

This course is great for fiction writers of all levels. Click here to sign up
